XENIA PATRICIA
CINEMATOGRAPHER
Xenia is a cinematographer working across fiction and documentary. With a background in Modern and Classical Chinese and Korean from SOAS, her approach to image-making is shaped by a deep curiosity for language, culture, and character. She has shot projects around the world, collaborating closely with directors to create visually grounded, emotionally resonant work that serves story and performance.
Xenia’s acclaimed short film Filipiñana (dir. Rafael Manuel) premiered at Berlinale and went on to screen at numerous international festivals, winning the Silver Bear and, Xenia, the Panalux Award for Outstanding Cinematography. Last year Xenia reunited with the original creative team to shoot the much-anticipated feature-length adaptation of the film, which will premiere in 2026.
Other recent feature credits include The Zodiac Killer Project (dir. Charlie Shackleton) – a bold, 16 mm documentary-feature that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2025 and Julia Jackman’s epic fantasy 100 Nights of Hero (2025), which closed both Venice and London Film Festivals on 2025.
She is a recipient of the Panalux Award for Outstanding Cinematography and a member of Illuminatrix .
